Cooperation between Konzum d.o.o. Sarajevo and Elog d.o.o.
Company Elog d.o.o. signed a contract with the company Konzum d.o.o. Sarajevo at the beginning of 2024 on business cooperation in a unified system of using reusable plastic packaging. The subject of business cooperation is the use of collapsible returnable packaging of the company Elog by Konzum for the distribution of fruit and vegetables and other products of the fresh food category, storage, as well as display in more than 250 sales facilities of this company in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
"I am especially pleased to point out that our company is making strides year after year in terms of ensuring better efficiency in the process of its own distribution and display of goods, and at the same time as a large retail chain, by using reusable packaging, we directly contribute to reducing waste production and preserving our environment. Cooperation with the company Elog d.o.o. is another significant step forward in this field and I am happy that we will join forces to our mutual satisfaction and further improve the company's level of responsibility towards issues of environmental protection and sustainability" - said Adis Rujanac, head of the Logistics Department of Konzum d.o.o.
Otherwise, the company Elog d.o.o. is a long-standing provider of Retail Ready Packaging solutions adapted to the needs of efficient logistics management of distribution and simple and effective display of goods at points of sale.
Constantly monitoring the habits and needs of its customers as well as other participants in the supply chain of Konzum d.o.o. Sarajevo recognized the benefits of using Elog's reusable packaging. The use of reusable packaging directly contributes to the reduction of waste by replacing the previous cardboard packaging, which means that no new raw materials are consumed for the production of disposable products, and there is no need for their disposal later.
In addition, the use of collapsible packaging results in greater utilization of transport units, which directly reduces total CO2 emissions. The ergonomic design of the packaging includes built-in handles, and the low weight of this packaging makes it easier to carry, thereby preventing potential injuries and loss of productivity.
This cooperation, among other things, encourages responsible behavior of companies towards the environment and contributes to the creation of a more sustainable business model.
